This painting was made to be included as part of an art raffle organized to benefit Many Lands Mutual Aid to raise money to assist in acquiring basic needs for the people of Gaza. The winner won the original and now all proceeds from sales of this print will go to that organization, which places that directly into the hands of the people.

Love alone cannot save the world, it cannot protect anyone from atrocity. It cannot stop a bullet or the force of a bomb. But we wrap ourselves in it anyway, because it is dearly needed, because it protects something inside. Love is a fruit to share, I surround you with mine and yours surround me, a seed for empathy and friendship and hope and truth, none of which can be taken away or die. It all only grows with us. Love is an idea, a word, like a symbol, like the strawberry, a thing to point to and say we exist here, together
